As you may have heard, Apple approved the Opera Mini web browser to be allowed into the App Store. If you’re curious about the application, hopefully this post will help you learn more.

When you first launch Opera Mini, you will see a welcome screen, giving you information about the browser.

Start Page

Once you’ve tapped on the “OK” button, you will be taken to a Start Page that has five websites shown in a thumbnail view, which are the My Opera website, FaceBook, Twitter, The New York Times, and AccuWeather. If you tap and hold on one of the thumbnails, you can either clear it or edit the website that you would like to appear in the thumbnail. There are also four empty thumbnails, which you can add websites to. If you tap on a thumbnail, you will be taken to the website associated with it.

Visiting a Website

When you visit a website, whether it be a website who’s URL you’ve entered or a website from the Start Page, the name of the website you’re on will appear in a red information bar, toward the top of the browser. Also, there is an address bar, as well as a search engine that you can use. The search box has options to use either Google, Amazon, eBay, Wikipedia, as well as the option to manage the search engines.

At the bottom of the browser, you should see five buttons, a back arrow, a forward arrow, a refresh button, a tabs button, and the settings button.

Tabbed Browsing

The tabs button allows you to switch between multiple websites without having to leave the website you’re on. You can simply switch between websites that are loaded in tabs.

When you would like to open a website in a new tab, you can simply click on the tabs button and click on the thumbnail with a plus on it. Once you’ve done that, you can either choose from a website on your Start Page or enter in a URL to a different website. The tabs button also shows you how many tabs you have opened by displaying a number on the button.

If you would like to close a tab, you can do so by clicking on the tabs button and clicking on the red button with an “X” on it.

Settings

If you would like to view and change Opera’s settings, you can do so by clicking on the wrench button, which is located in the bottom right of the browser.

Once you’ve clicked on the wrench button, you can view and manage your bookmarks, history, Start Page, as well as Saved Pages. There is a also a “Find in Page” button, which allows you to search for text in a webpage. Also, there is a “Help” button and a “Settings” button.

If you click on the “Settings” button, you will be able to manage different settings, such as whether or not to load images, what the image quality is, and how big the font is. You can also select whether or not you would like to enable “Mobile View”, “Fullscreen”, as well as “Opera Link”.

From the settings menu, you can also view and manage your privacy settings, such as whether or not to remember passwords or accept cookies. You can also clear your history, passwords, and cookies from the “Privacy” section.

The last thing in the settings menu is the “Advanced” section, which allows you to choose which type of browsing protocol you would like to use, as well as to start page links.

If you haven’t already heard, Hewlett Packard has entered a definitive agreement to acquire Smart Phone manufacturer, Palm, for a price of $1.2 Billion, which was announced by the two companies this afternoon.

Under the terms of the acquisition agreement, Palm stockholders will receive $5.70 for each share of stock that they are holding at the end of the merger between the two companies.

Palm’s current CEO and chairman is also expected to stay with the company after the merger, which is expected to happen at the end of July, 2010.

Google Buzz is a relatively new service from Google that allows users to share information in similar ways to services, such as Twitter.

With Google Buzz’s popularity growing and there not being an official Google Buzz button that users can use to share information, Google Buzz created an official button that users can now use to share information on a variety of websites.

Some of the websites that you may see this button on include: YouTube, MySpace, GigaOm, Mashable, Meebo, as well as more websites and services.

If you would like to add a Google Buzz button to your own website, you can do so by going to Google Buzz’s “Stuff” webpage and and then copy and paste the code into your website.

If you’re someone who likes answering questions that people may have, on a variety of different topics or if you have a question that you would like to know the answer to, perhaps you should try using Yahoo! Answers.

Yahoo! Answers is a service from Yahoo! that allows you to ask and answer questions on a variety of different topics, such as Arts & Humanities, Beauty & Style, Business & Finance, Cars & Transportation, Computers & Internet, Consumer Electronics, as well as a variety of other topics.

If you would like to ask a question, you should go to the Yahoo! Answers website, click on “Ask” or begin typing your question and then click on “Continue”. From there, you should be able to enter in your question, as well as enter in any details that you would like to provide to help someone answer your question. After you’ve done that, you should be able to choose a category that you would like your question to be in, as well as a subcategory.

If you have a wireless network setup in your home or office and don’t want people to use it who don’t have permission, perhaps you should consider encrypting your connection.

When you encrypt your wireless connection, any data that you send over your network can’t be viewed by third parties, unless they know the decryption key.

There are different types of encryption that you can use, such as WEP, WEP + 802.1x, WPA, WPA2, as well as other types of encryption. Which type of encryption your router has may depend on your router’s manufacturer, as well as your router’s software.

If you would like to change your router’s security settings, you may be able to do so by going to 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 in a browser and then entering in your username and password.

If you don’t know what your username and password are, perhaps you should try using “admin” for the username and “password” for the password or “admin” for the username and “admin” for the password. (You should also change your router’s username and password from the default to prevent people from accessing your router’s settings.)

Once you’ve logged into your router, you should look for a security section or something similar to that, where you should be able to change your security settings.

Your encryption key should be a combination of lower and uppercase letters, numbers, and symbols, in order to make it hard to guess.

After you’ve selected your encryption type and chose a password, you should save your settings and then log out of your router.

In order to access your wireless network and the Internet again, you may have to enter your encryption key, but you may be able to save the settings so that you only have to enter it once.

If you’re a computer user, you’ve probably heard of Google Chrome, which is a free web browser that was created by Google.

Google Chrome is a free, open source, web browser that was released as a beta version on September 2, 2008.

Google Chrome includes features, such as sandboxed tabbed browsing, which means that if one tab crashes, you can still browse the Internet using other tabs. The tabs in Chrome are also above the address browser, unlike in other browsers, such as Internet Explorer or Mozilla FireFox, which all have tabs under the address bar.

When you launch Google Chrome, rather than seeing a homepage, you should see a window that has screen shots of the websites that you have recently visited. If you click on one of the websites, you will be taken to it. You should also see a list of websites that you recently bookmarked, as well as a list of recently closed tabs. Also, you should be see a search box, which enables you to search your history.

Another feature of Google Chrome is the ability to use a private browsing mode, called Incognito Mode. If you use Incognito Mode, Chrome will not save the history of the websites you visited, as well as cookies from those websites.

Google Chrome also allows you to add extensions to the browser, which you can choose from an extensions library. Chrome also has the ability to change the browser’s theme.

You can also create your own Persona from the instructions available on the Personas website.

If you’re looking for a fun game to play for the iPod Touch or iPhone, perhaps you should try playing iGraveDigger.

iGraveDigger is a game where you have to defend a house against monsters that are coming toward it. To stop the monsters from getting to the house, you need to dig holes to bury them in.

Some monsters require deeper holes to be buried, or else they’ll just walk out of the hole and continue toward the house. However, some monsters only require a small hole in order to be stopped, after which you can fill the hole in, burying the monster.

When you launch iGraveDigger, you should see a loading screen and then a menu, which has two options, “Buy Premium” or “Play Free”.

After choosing “Play Free”, you should see another menu, which has three buttons, a “New game” button, an “Options”, and  a “Scores” button.

After tapping on the “New Game” button, a screen displaying the game’s instructions will come up.

To play the game, all you need to do is slide your finger down in order to dig a hole and slide your finger up to bury a monster once it has fallen into the hole that you’ve dug. The more times you slide your finger down, the deeper the hole will be. The maximum size of a hole is three “slides” down.

If you have important files or data on your computer, you probably don’t want to lose them if something happened to your computer.

Here are some ways that you can back up those files so that if something happens to your computer, you’ll still have your files and data.

External Hard Drive

One way that you can back up your files would be to purchase an external hard drive and back the data up onto it. There are also external hard drives that you can purchase that can be connected to a router, so that you can back up and retrieve files and data from multiple computers.

CDs

Another way that you can back up your files would be to burn them to a CD, that way, if something were to happen to your computer, you will be able to retrieve your data.

However, unless you have a CD-RW, you won’t be able to change or edit any of the data that you put on a CD, so you should check to make sure that you have all of the data you need before you burn it to a CD, or else you may have to burn any additional data to another CD.

Also, CDs can’t hold as much data as an external hard drive can, so you may have to burn multiple CDs to store all of your files and data.

Online Backup Services

There are online services, such as Carbonite and Mozy, that can back up your data without you having to do anything. These services run in the background on your computer and upload data to the Internet.

Online back up services are good because you don’t have to worry about what data you have backed up or not, as your files will be backed up automatically.

However, these services may charge a monthly fee in order to use them, but if you have important files, the price may be worth it.

Below are some tips that you may not know or may not use that you can use in order to make using Google’s GMail service better than it already is.

Labels

Rather than using folders to organize e-mails, GMail allows you to organize your e-mails using labels, which are located next to the subject of an e-mail. GMail has a few default labels, such as “Personal” and “Travel” that you can use to categorize e-mails, or you have the option to create your own labels.

If you would like to mark a message with a particular label, you can do so by clicking on the check box next to the message and clicking on the desired label from the list of labels, which you can see by clicking on the “Label” button in the GMail interface. You can also drag an e-mail into a specific label category in the sidebar of your GMail account.

A message can have more than one label, so that you can categorize it in multiple ways.

You can also change the color of the labels that you’re using, so that you can see who a message may be from or what you labeled it as, without having to read each label.

Themes

Another great feature of GMail is the ability to change the theme of the GMail interface. If you would like to change your GMail account’s theme, you can do so by going to “Settings” and then to “Themes”.

Once you have clicked on "Themes”, you can choose from a variety of different themes, such as different colored themes, as well as other themes, such as a beach theme, a mountain theme, a pebbles theme, and more.

You can even choose your own theme colors if you would like to by clicking on the button that says “Choose your own colors”.

Chat

GMail also allows people to chat with other GMail or Google Chat users from within the GMail interface. If you have an AIM account, GMail also allows you to sign in and chat with your contacts who are using AIM from within the GMail interface.

Accounts

If you have other e-mail accounts that are not with GMail, you can import your contacts from those accounts into your GMail contacts list.

GMail also allows you to retrieve e-mail from other e-mail accounts that you may have, so that you don’t have to check multiple e-mail accounts.
